This was early in the morning and the bird just happened to be spot lighted for a few seconds. I cropped some off the left side and more than a little from the bottom, though now it looks to me like perhaps more should be cropped off the bottom. For adjusting I had to tone yellows and the bit of white beneath the tail. I did have to do some denoise on the background and lightened the shaded side of its tummy. (do you call it a "tummy" on a bird??? lol) But I did nothing to adjust the coloring of the background.

What do you think would help this image? There is no more room on the right in the original.
    Thank you!

Cheryl - very nice detail and color throughout!
    - I wouldn't take off any more from any of the sides, as I think the crop would be a bit too tight then.
    - The natural spotlight effect is neat, but I would consider lightening up the blacks in the bg just a tad.
Very cool shot. Thanks for sharing!

In the spotlight indeed! What a lucky capture! I love the blue/yellow color contrast. Like the framing, composition, and perch as well. The photo does feel a bit too saturated...that yellow is incredibly vibrant. That might partly be due to the fact that it is sitting on top of its color compliment, but a slight pullback on yellow saturation might do the photo some good. I'm also with Miguel on lightening the blacks just a bit...overall, with less sat. I think you would have an ever so slightly softer but more pleasing contrast.

This image really pops! Such vivid colors! I particularly like the placement of the bird against the blue in the BG. A bit more room on the right would have been nice, but it's still a very pleasing image.
