Hafa Adai (Greeting in Chamorro) from the Northern Mariana Islands,
My name is Bill, and I appreciate the many resources and community that this website offers. I had had some interest in photography several years ago, while I was living in Micronesia, but school ended up taking most of my time after that. Now that I have been out of school for several years, I have more time to put towards learning the art and science of photography. Over the years, I have grown fond of birding and always felt like I was missing something after the bird flew away. So many of these creatures are such creative masterpieces that deserve remembrance, and I hope to achieve this through bird photography. I am in the process of acquiring a Canon 7d, lenses, and other gear, so until then, I am using a Canon PowerShot SX220. I live in Saipan, Northern Marianas, a tropical islands near Guam, and travel around occasionally. Hopefully, I will be able to take my gear with me on my travels and get some good bird pictures too.
It's a pleasure to meet you, Bill, and welcome to BPN. You sure are from a unique part of the world, and we look forward to seeing what unique birds you have in your area. Looking forward to the day you begin posting your pictures!
