One from the day with the frigatebirds. The sun was just coming out for this photo...and went hiding behind the clouds again:-).Comments are welcome.

Love it! Very cool portrait ... head angle works very well here and detail is excellent!
    Great job with the DOF.

Awesome! I can't say I've ever seen a frigate up so close. Love the detail and HA. That super-clean BG is wonderful, too. If I was to change anything, it would simply be the DOF...the tip of the beak is just so slightly out of focus. But its hard to really make that a fault...the image is superb regardless.

The focus is very well handled in this, sharp as can be front to back including the tip of the beak which is 99.9 % in focus lol. Really like this one Lorant, a stunner for my tastes .

Excellent image Lorant. I like the pose, details, IQ, DOF and composition.

Well done, Lorant, esp on the DOF and you have very nice details and angle here. May I assume this is a female juvenile?

The thumbnail doesn't do this image justice.
What a superb portrait. The DOF choice is perfect. I doubt going to F22 would have meade any difference.
Love the feather detail and the eye.
The pale blue BG really compliments the colors in the beak.
    Well done Lorant,
    Gail

Now this is a portrait! You did a great job on getting the right focus point for this shot. And I agree with Gail, you were probably so close that there is no way to get the entire beak and face in focus ... and you don't need to!

I think this is a fabulous portrait, Lorant. Just perfect. Love those colors, the downward look at you, the pale blue BG that provides the perfect complement. Very impressive depth of field.

Well done Lori! Love the DOF and agree about wishing the tip were sharper. Can't have it all at times.
