Landing American Avocet. I like this image because it shows the angle between the feet when landing. The feet are stretched towards the camera and then slightly bent outward, perhaps to reduce the impact and provide better landing control

    hope you like it

You are right- the feet are in an unusual position and it is nice to see it.
    Great light and IQ.
As always, water droplets add to the image.
Enjoyed the new guide you and Artie wrote.

Gorgeous landing pose and outstretched legs. Good pin sharp detail, lovely BIF Arash.

Striking image, Arash. I was wondering moving it a bit higher in the frame.

    Arash:

Nice techs, excellent wing spread, and the foot position does add an interesting note. Even though he is angling to the right of the frame, I wish there was a bit more room on the left.

    Cheers

Beautiful light, your usual great IQ, and terrific wing spread. I could imagine him a tad higher in the frame, but love it just as presented.

While I love the wing positions and the dangling feet, the head position isn't optimum in this particular frame. Loving those droplets and terrific IQ.

Yes, head angle could be a touch better but overall a superb image, Arash. Wing spread could not be any better, the light is gorgeous, and the detail and IQ are, of course, stunning. Interesting foot position.
What is the guide you and Artie co-wrote, that Gail refers to? I seem to be clueless.

Thanks Gail, this is actually the usual landing position for the feet... just viewed from a different angle!

Extra nice, great wing spread and light, agree possibly a bit higher in the frame but great photography.

Love the shot. The wing spread and the stretched feet are perfect. I wished either both or one eye were more visible. the light is perfect. The details in the whites are exposed perfectly as expected in your images. I like the droplets as well. I dont know if its just me but I see some chrominance noise in the darks of the right wing; something characteristically not seen in your images.

thanks Amol. that's iridescence not noise, it happens for dark feathers with certain light angle.
