The girly half of the male I posted yesterday, again a rare sighting here, and I only hope they breed locally, the male was certainly going about his courtship display in ernest. Taken on a very calm morning a couple of weeks back, but have not been back since to check on progress.

    Canon 7D + 500 f4 + 1.4 x TC.....700mm, 1/800, ISO 200, tripod mounted shot, slight crop and basic edit.

    Hi Phil,
Great reflection on beautiful still water. Good HA and I like the composition.
I like the hint of the foot as well.
    Nice low angle.

Nice head turn and great reflection.
The water is so calm that I almost miss some lines or ripples around.

Everything is so still, makes it look like a decoy! Nice in its' simplicity. I could see the subject a little lower in the frame.

Agree with above comments, lovely image. Good reflection and still water adds nicely to this image. I would also place the bird slightly lower in the frame.

Nice image Phil. I like the calm water, reflection and HA. I would take some off the bottom as well.
