Hi. Gerard Monteux here. Happy to be on board. I suppose I've been a wildlife/nature photog my entire life, but just recently discovered the wonders of digital photography. Now, keep in mind that I'm generally opposed to the idea of what most people call "progress" but in the case of digital camera gear, I'll make an exception. It's amazing. It's opening up whole new worlds of opportunity for me, at the tender age of 56. It's taking me back into the wild once again and has afforded me the opportunity to try to help save animals from humans' relentless pyroclastic-like flow.
My idea is to sell images of wildlife for the sole purpose of donating the proceeds to animal protection groups. Yes - I am open to any and all suggestions along these lines!
Take a couple moments to peruse the galleries on my site: www.maiseyimages.com, but please be gentle with your critiques. That's not why I'm here.
Welcome to BPN, Gerard! This is the best place to learn how to improve your photography; and don't worry we are gentle, but honest with critique. Some very nice photos on your site, and looking forward to your participation!
