    Hello everyone.
Here is a shot of this little guy that popped out from the bushes. I was parked getting my gear ready when I saw him.
Day was real cloudy and the sun came out just tad while I photographed this bird.
    C&C welcomed and encouraged.

Attractive pose and perch but a bit in the shadows.
    Sharp and well exposed.

A fine portrait, super details, I like the pose and perch, it makes a change from a twig or branch.

    Lovely little bird.
I like the pose and the perch.
I wish you had increased the exposure a bit as the tail lacks detail and DOF.
Why was your SS at 1/5000? You could have been at 1/1000 and an aperture of 7.1 or 8.0 and you would have a better DOF as well.

Good grab-shot, which explains the settings too. Nice of the sun to peek out at the opportune time. I'm seeing some noise on the tail and shadowed areas of the subject that could be dealt with in post. Also too bad a twig had to go merge with the tail tip. Love this species, and I like that you have it in plumage somewhere between juvenile and adult...we don't often see black and grey combo on the crown!

Very nice image. You've done a nice job balancing the portrayal of a small bird shown large in the frame,
while still maintaining a composition that works. I also enjoy the perch, and wonder if it isn't possibly a food
source, as some seedheads are present and others are missing, as if plucked off. The shooting angle is a bit
steep. The crown plumage is interesting, and as Dan pointed out, not often featured in online forums....
