This tri-colored heron was hunting for a meal at Little Estero last March. The image was rotated slightly, the canvas was extended at the top edge, I cleaned up a few dark spots and applied NIK Tonal Contrast at 20% of default values, cropped and sharpened. C & C appreciated.

    Wonderful shot.
I really like the water drops, great walking pose, great shooting angle, and nice details.
A slight head turn towards you would have been nice, but still an excellent image.
    Well done.

A beautiful image it almost has a studio like quality to it. Knock out colours and plumage detail and the eye is superb.

Lovely looking bird. you have exposed him well to show all his lovely colours. Nice touch the water dripping from his bill. a slight separation of head from body would have been nice, but we all know they dont perform requests.

Great IQ, and I love the falling trail of drops. Good pose overall, but I would have liked a better HA. Perhaps a bit more room left and bottom too would not be a bad thing. I'd be tempted to use the sponge tool to saturate the iris a bit, I usually see them redder than this. Great colour to the water, and very nice details.
