    Default Lesser Yellowlegs.

I'm a fan of overcast light, but once in a while it is nice to have good light. Once again I got wet and muddy for this...my wife is rather thankful that fall shorebird migration has slowed down! I got some nice colours for the BG here, but I had to tone lighten the OOF greenery just behind the subject's face, it was just too dark and distracting. Some clean up along the bottom of the frame was also performed.

Canon 7D + 100-400L @365mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/6.3, ISO 400 (histogram checked), natural light, handheld, small crop for comp.

    One after another, Daniel.
Your low angle technique makes me feel lazy!
The angle and BG is very nice as usual.

Your attention to detail and thought in composition is very evident, I really like the shot the pose shows how alert the bird is and the background is subtle yet beautiful.

You really do show what a good lens the 100-400 is. Great POV and the bird sits really well in the frame walking slightly towards you. Another classy pic.

Very nice, with many features to enjoy.
Low angle, slightly interesting foreground vegetation, purposeful pose, perfect head angle,
enjoy those pops of color going off in the background, excellent composition and post processing.
I find myself hiding my muddy clothes at times, until I can sneak them in the wash without being noticed...
