As mentioned in my first Muskox thread - follwing another ox - this time a female which was looking after her dead young!
The young died at a kind of lung infection due to the infromation we got from local people!
    1dx - 400 mm - ISO 800 - f5,6 - 1/2000 - -2 2/3 - tripod and rrs ball head

    C&C welcome!

Cooool image. Different and those big ominous clouds make it. Nice choice not to completey black out the FG.

I like this one, Holger. I do suspect that it needs to be seen much larger than here to make the impact it deserves, because at 1024px the ox is really miniscule and on a wall or at least at higher resolution it would take up the "space" it deserves. I know the idea is to make it look small...would just like to make out the silhouette a bit better if you know what I mean...
    Great mood!

Quite a different image and it tells a story. It does not do it for me in its current format I think it would still be effective with a smaller crop, there just seems to be too much sky although I do see what you are trying to get across.

Nice thinking for this one but I agree with the others that this size doesn't do it justice. It is difficult to discern that it is a muskox at this size. I do like the ominous feel.

Hi Holger, well ticks again my boxes and personally I like it as presented. Would look very impressive as a 48 sheet poster etc. The scale, colours, hint of land, position of subject all works.

Be great to have your input on other postings Holger too.

Lovely idea ... Like the chromatic look to it... I feel the subject is a bit loss and needs to be more of silhouette in order for the image to really work... The clouds could be worked on to give a more dramatic feel ....
