Love the movement and the colours. Would wish for no animals overlapping in the background would definately try to get rid of the 'backside' on the left. A great move away from the usual portrait shot.

    regards.

Hi Rudi, I think the first thing that I notice was, not enough SS. For me I feel you needed more ISO for the SS as the head is not sharp, there is a tad of movement and that for me, is key in an image like this. It also has the hallmarks of the 7D, with a slight grainyness to the detail which is interesting at such a low ISO, did you lighten anything? I like the movement within the legs and the slight halo of light around the chin & neck, they work and the warm ochres of colour. Would agree with Stu about the rear creeping in on the Springbok, would be better if it wasn't in shot. I know you like the f/4 and low ISO, but personally I feel the conditions need to be right, but just my take.

Hi Rudi - nice low pov, colors and light. Steve's critique has captured my thoughts as well. You needed a little more ss to really pull this off and have the face sharp.

I like the action and light in this one - and for me the head not being 100% tack sharp is a real pity here, but also know how tough this is to pull off properly.
Would love to see more of your images here, Rudi, as well as your feedback on others' posts
