    Default Vignetting?

I assume this is the proper place to post this question, after all I am "Eager to Learn".

I got into a discussion with a photographer friend about the use of vignetting in bird & wildlife photography. When to use it, when not? How much vignetting (i.e. sharply defined vs. highly feathered)? Dark or light? Maybe never, ever use it? Does anyone have any thoughts and/or guidelines in this area?

    TIA,
    ...Jerry

Hi Jerry....I have no rules to offer. i use it it when I want to direct attention by darkening the edges. I usually just go with what looks good and usually go dark rather than light with wildlife images. I would say i use it fairly often

Jerry, Greetings. I'm sure the moderators will get to it, but I think this is better in General Photography Discussion... This forum is for, er, Eager to Lean through image critique ;-)...

    Cheers,

Light Advances ,Dark recedes ......I actually darken the entire Bg . I try to do that by the use of flash ,but will use ps to accomplish what I desire as final out put image .
Doesn't mean I am any way , near , close to the proper way , Just how I do it now ,(AS a Noob ) . I too would love to get some input from the Senior photogs .
