Took this image last week. I had never seen so many of these birds together in one field, about 40-50 in one field. So many of these noisy birds together meant a lot of action. But thats didnt translate into great keeper rate of great action shots for me. I managed a few. But didnt get one shot that I was really trying to get.

What you all think about this one?

Nice pose and underside detail but I do wish for some eye contact to to make a stronger connection to the viewer.

Hi Amol, interesting looking bird, and I do like the hovering pose with the outspread wings and we have a good view of the 'scissor' tail. I agree with Don, seeing an eye would have made this stronger, and I would also move him up in the frame a bit more.

Well exposed and sharp. Angry-looking fella!. I like the open bill. Although we do see both eyes they do get somewhat lost in the darker areas. The near wing even higher up would have been great. Sounds like it was an impressive sight to see with all those scissor-tails!!

nice catch, to my eyes it looks a bit soft though maybe more sharpening would help. I wish you had some eye contact.
