    Before I saw Arthur's crop, I thought the exact same thing.
    About my favorite bird, I would love to have this.

    I prefer the lighter tones and more spacious composition of the OP.
    Perfect head angle on this one sir.

    I like both versions and I also think a vertical would have worked also. Nice HA and pose with plenty of detail.

    Hi Jim, I like how the nuthatch is perched looking out into the frame. I like Artie's repost, but Don's idea of a vertical could work too - if you have space.

    I like the shot in general. Either crop works because the shot is beautiful. Great everything. One of the best shots I have seen of this species. Great work.

    I like both crops too. Excellent nuthatch image, I like pretty much everything about it. Super details, great BG, perfect nuthatch pose.

    Nice detail, great HA and classic nuthatch pose. Either crop works for me, but Artie's seems just a bit tight.
