A little noise

Greetings. This started with an experiment with my 85mm tilt/shift, max tilt, f/32 ISO3200 1/1600 HH for a very underexposed shot- lifted 5 stops in LR boosted darks & saturation, too...

Actually not too bad at this point, but had "a little noise". Used DAP to repaint sans noise (portraitist)... some additional detailing. A rare flower shot for me:

Great OOB! Love the way you've turned a potential throw-away into a keeper. I'm not familiar with DAP...and it doesn't seem to be listed on the acronyms page. What does that stand for?

DAP is Dynamic Auto-Painter... It's a fun tool that uses a photo as a guide for painting an image using digital brush strokes. Not a filter.

Thanks much for the comments. While I like the OP for what it is, I found myself missing the detail of the original capture (though very dark) and reworked the image, just accepting the noise. I blended the color of the OP DAP version with a boosted and toned version of the original capture. Oddly, it was a bit challenging to maintain a consistency to the noise rather than just trying to reduce it (it's just too noisy for noise reduction to look good).



I'm a bit happier with this version.
