You could almost bankrupt yourself in feeding these guys with hazelnuts, however it's worth it, as they are far more attractive and engaging than the monster grey import we have in abundance.

In cropping, I had to go a little to the left to reduce the darker brown area. The trees in this wood, when wet, go these lovely colours. but it's the front paws holding the nut in an almost 'offering' pose I love.

Beautifully taken and wonderful posture captured.
The only nit is the OOF part of the trunk in FG.
    Overall very nice image.

Steve - very well done. Love the pose with the tail and ears up and clasping the hazelnut. Pleasing autumn colors too with usual excellent IQ.

I have grey and black squirrels in my backgarden and I would trade them anyday for a few cute reds. Do these guys hibernate Steve or would they be about in December, what with the milder winters. Famous last words

Nice DOF and detail considering the low shutter speed.

I like the diagonal infront and love the catchlights in the squirrels eyes. Just wish the dark area on the left wasn't there but love the cheeky character you've captured.

    regards.
