This was taken at Onde Karemba, Namibia, Africa. I got there a couple of days before the start of my tour with Nate Chappell. This was taken on the evening I arrived. There was a fruit tree that the parrots favoured. This parrot was on the ground foraging so I lay down and waited for it to come a little closer.

    ROY:

Nice shooting angle, like the raised foot, sharpness. Perhaps a sliver more room below and to the right if available.

    Nice noise performance.

    Cheers

Love the raised foot and the low angle. Image looks too cool to me and could be improved with a slight warming filter.

    Hi Jon,
    Another new species for me!
I really like the IQ and the little bit of yellow on the wing.
The raised foot is nice as well.
Alan makes a good point re: WB but I will defer to you as you were there!

Great looking bird. Love the pose overall but especially the raised foot.

No idea about the true colour of this birds, coolish possibly....but a lovely take with plenty of detail and my personal tastes like the muted light in this one
