    Canon 40D - 70-200 f/4L
    1/800. f/6.3, ISO 320, Partial metering
    I was trying to get close to some Cattel Egrets out in a pond and they all flew before I could get there. SO, I saw this by the edge of the water. Slightly windy but it still came out fair I think. :)

    Hi Bill, Well I like the image overall, the BG is great, the comp and sharpness are good. This is a swordplant flower I think. I even like the little curly dried leaf in the LR corner.

    The one big issue with the image is the strong light. The correct way to soften the light is to use a diffuser and a clamp.Sometimes you can find a volunteer to stand over the plant to block the sun or I have even used my camera backpack, or even my tripod with a towel over it to block the sun.

    Hey Bill, nice comp and BG, I agree with Roberts point about using a diffuser to soften the light.
