    Default Theme: Feeding

Since day one, I have been hoping for a head on feeding action shot. After a week, last Sunday, I finally got my chance. This adult was working hard on feeding 3/6 chicks. It was a cloudy day, with luck, I was able to get this image. This is my favorite of the series so far. I am hoping to have a few more weeks with them.

1/640, 600mm, f/5.6, ISO1600, handheld laying flat on the ground.

    Happy Friday, gang!

Great capture, Troy! You've really got the food flip down pat! I am tempted to take a little off the top of this but then again, I like it as is?

p.s. If I may suggest this: it's a good idea to name the species as many folks will not recognize these limpkins. I didn't know a limpkin from Adam until I joined this forum...

The low angle is awesome. Love the intimate connection between the subjects and the sharply captured behavior is top shelf stuff.
A consideration would be to crop some off the top, otherwise, I really enjoy the composition as is...

Thank you. Forgot to include the name as I was posting in a hurry before heading to the airport.
As for trimming off the top, I disagree as it would place the subjects in the center of the frame.
