    D3 and 600 mm lens , wimberely head ,gitzo tripod. ISO 800. 1600@ f8 ,20 % crop.

    Taken this afternoon in the last rays of sunlights , this Harrier part of a pair flew towards me , first time to get this close , awesome experience as they flew and called to each other .

    Love the intense look and posture of the subject. The shadows seem flat to me.

    Hi Peter !!!! Must have been a moving experience !!!!

    Sure wish that bird would have picked up the wing just a bit to light up. Your exposure on the main body seems fine and love the detail !!!! Would boost the shadow contrast as suggested. btw if you can do post the exp comp Makes it easier to evaluate !!!!
