Its been to long since I posted on this forum have not done much Avian photography but here is one from a couple of months ago when I had a cooperative Green Heron land on the railing at Wakodahatchee.

Hi Don, great HA here, and yes, you have captured excellent detail on the head. I feel you have mastered the sharpness perfectly, and the colours in the BG compliment the heron nicely. You should have a look at more images from a few months back.

This is very nice with fine colors, sharpness, love the texture and sense of depth in the shoulder feathers.

Might try to tease out a little more detail in the whites beneath the bill.
