A good friend and fellow admirer of deer Rick, took me to see this deer. It is very unwary of people. but closest you can only get is about 400 yards.
So photos not the best even with the 500...but what a rack. Anyone whose photographed, hunted, viewed deer, will know what I mean.

I will be 60 this year, in all those years out in the northern wilds, I've never seen a larger buck.
The triptych shows him running when spooked by a coyote, he turned, tail up, was gone.
I decided not to enter this triptych...Spicify Filter Applied.............please enjoy

Unlike the captive elk, this is a totally wild deer.
    Thanks again Rick

Paul, he is magnificent! He's in such good flesh - looks like he'll survive the winter. Great triptych. Did you see the coyote?

Beautiful animal and a nice sequence. I guess for my taste I'd like to see it just a touch softer.
