    Default Backlit Leopard (f)

OK, this is the same leopard as the previous thread 'Lookout', this time she decided to climb the tree and continue her search for he partner. This morning the sky was flat, no colour which gave this minimal look & feel. The tail dropped behind another branch, hence the crop and i'm happy to crop it as is. Undecided about just cloning the little bit of branch creeping in on the LHS on the branch supporting her front paws.

Lovely pose and exposure against the high-key BG and your usual IQ, Steve...
Don't mind the tailtip myself...just wondering if it needs "easing back" of the yellows - just a tad?

Lovely clean look to the image and don't mind the tail tip missing on the large image but have to say that it was annoying on the thumbnail which is strange. I would also ease back on the yellows a tiny bit and see how it looked, although you wouldn't want it to look washed out either.

What is the significance of the (f) in the title?

Hi Steve - no surprise that I really like this one. Great pose and comp with usual excellent IQ. If I were printing it then I would probably get rid of the bit of branch but certainly no deal breaker either way. Tail tip not a problem for me. I also agree on reducing the yellows.

IQ is really excellent here. I am not a big fan of cloning, but that little branch would be gone if it were mine. Love all the details and the texture and curves of the tree trunk!

I like the color tones Steve, but I'm no expert on leopards. Hope to be some day but not yet.

Hi Steve, detail does get more detailed than this and great tree, it helps to frame the image nicely. I might drop the yellows a touch to make those eyes a little more dominant.

I also pondered the branch sticking up the LHS but after starting at it for a while I tend to think it has its place in the image and doesn't need removed.

Thanks folks, Hilary (f) was for female, however on reflection it really has no real relevance in the title.

I will have a look at the yellow, at present am away so accessing the images remotely so hope I grabbed the right one!!!!

On a dodgy office monitor, so will not comment on colour.

Love the IQ and not really too fussed about the cloning on the LHS.

    Hi Steve,
like the minimalistic look and feel here.
Good pose and and comp, colors look a tad too yellow, for my eyes.
The branch does not bother me, wonderful texture in this tree.

Cut off tail , not sure about this.
    IQ as always .......?

    Nicely done, Steve

Lovely image Steve! The tail does not bother me and the leopard pops nicely against the BG!
