I love the classic nuthatch pose and couldn't resist spending some time with these guys in an area with fall maple leaves on the hillside as a backdrop. They were coming to a nearby feeder. All C&C welcome and appreciated.

Indeed the classic nuthatch pose you got here. Great fall BG, but I'd love for the paler streak at right to be of the same colour...the sponge tool should work well here. I'd also have preferred the bird lower in the frame. Very sharp details, and great texture to the tree trunk. The white "eyebrow" seems a bit light (perhaps even burnt?)

I like the classic pose, fall colours and HA. I agree the eyebrow looks hot. Well done Dan.

I see what you guys mean about the eyebrow. I checked the RAW image and the whites are definitely not hot. Somehow this has happened during processing or conversion. Thanks for the comments, I'll follow up and rectify.

Awesome background colors. The subject and perch are isolated nicely in this composition.
Great overall view of the bird too.

Lovely image, Dan. Great pose and terrific BG colors. I do wish the bird were lower in the frame. I think it would be a more powerful image.

It appears a bit crispy, but beautiful color and a classic pose.
I agree that a bit lower would look nice.
