    Default Grizzley at Water's Edge

This rather shaggy coastal brown bear was grazing on grasses in a field of daisies, near a pool of water, at Hallo Bay, Alaska. The image was taken late afternoon during one of Robert OToole's Brown Bear Workshops in July. I removed some scum from the water, cleaned up the grasses, lightened the eyes a touch, applied some Color Efex Tonal Contrast, cropped and sharpened. C&C welcomed.

Attractive Bear, shaggy or not and a nice comp.
It seems a tad over saturated and maybe could use a bit of sharpening.

Hi Mike, I like the pose and position in frame, the inclusion of the water is a nice touch and adds something to the overall image/setting. Love the wild flowers.

Again, agree with Dan, some more selective sharpening would be good, but the saturation I think is coming from the image not being sRGB and not having the correct colour profile for presentation on the web, but easy to fix Mike. A very slight CW rotation would also help I feel too.

colours noted - though I am a guy who loves it vibrant
    those eyes look somewhat eerie/evil!
I like the overall mood/soft light and the shaggy coat.

Lovely pose Mike, and great setting with the flowers and lake. I would have perhaps liked a little more reflection? Could do with a bit of sharpening as others have noted. Very nice image!

Sinister looking eyes. The FG is sharp but the bear does seem a little on the soft side. Where did the AF point lock?
