    Default Canada Geese painting

I was searching for sparrows this morning by my pond. I didn't notice the flock of geese in the field and all of the sudden they took off
I tried something a little different by using Adobe Photoshop oil paint after removing the distracting background.
    Enjoy

Nice composition and effects, I might have been tempted to clone out the goose in the top right corner, just my preference....I like how the 3 geese have their wings down in exactly the same place and one is up...nice work

I love the sight and sound of geese overhead. The strong diagonal is very nice, but I wonder if it'd be more effective flipped horizontally. The textured background is super for this image.

Janet, lovely composition! I like the symmetry of the overlapping geese. I think the oil paint effect makes it stand out.

Hi Janet, I like the line of geese and the background worked out well. I might be tempted to evict the top bird too. Love the wing positions.

    Hi all

thanks for the comments, I made a copy of the image without the top bird. It looked kind of bland, so I left him in. Just my preference :)
    thanks again for the comments.

Janet, I like the fact that the top bird breaks the symmetry but I'm bothered by his head intersecting the wing. I wonder what it would look like if you extracted him and moved him underneath the line-up under the 3rd goose or up a little higher on the top?
