    Bob,

Really like this one maybe a bit tight for me a larger crop would be better ,but this is subjective. I like the blue saturation too it adds to the feel especially given the overcast light. I might have added more room on the left and left bottom moreover having the pair walking into the frame. The exposure techs look good like the f/8,..keep em coming.

I agree with Jeff's cropping suggestion. I also like the blue in the water and the action of the birds.

    Bob,

Greetings. I like the color contrast between the feathers and the water. Similar crop suggestion - more on left, less on right. I might try a bit more cyan in the water... a matter of taste but it seems a tad too blue to me.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Hi Bob- This is quite sweet. The reflections are worth saving and the water is not too messy (!). I would give more room at the top and less to the right.

The image is obviously dominated by blue hues but the whites also have a blue cast. This can easily be fixed. A method I use is outlined here:

    Hi John,

Your thread on Colour Cast correction in LAB is very good, thank you. Do you think it should be copied into Educational Resources, if it isn't there already?

    Regards,

    Gerald

    Hi Bob,

I'm a big fan of Avocets and find this pair quite delightful. Do you also have an opportunity to photograph them from a lower angle? It would mean a completely different shot to this one, of course, but may also be rewarding.

    Regards,

    Gerald

Gerald, I like the isolation of this pair on the BG and the color values-well done. Only Suggestion I can add: Have you tried a polarizer under these conditions? I've been using one for a majority of my race images because they can reduce glare and make the subject appear sharper against a reflective background while bringing out extra details. Some prefer using them, others don't.
