Woah ! What a feeling to get up early in the morning , a nice long drive , and have a chance to roam around and be surrounded by nature . After 6 months , got a chance to shoot birds again . An awesome piece of art , by GOD ...the Red Avadavat / Red Munia male in all its splendor . It was a joy to capture this beauty !!!The rain drops on the tender branch added to the beauty . Sadly it is the beauty that makes the munia a favorite in the pet business !!

What a gorgeous bird! You deserve it after such a long wait.

What would you think about darkening that leaf in the foreground a little? It pulls my eye from the bird more than I like. Or even a tighter crop from the bottom (and then also right) which gets rid of the out of focus distraction. (As if anything could distract from that bird, which is otherwise perfectly photographed, to my eye!)

Love the colors (red and green really help each other out). The composition is killer and the bg is super. The sharpening, however, seems to be a bit much. Tone it down just a bit and you have something spectacular.

Would agree with toning down the foreground a little and the bird looks over-sharpened, but I do like the stunning colors and the water droplets on the perch.
    It's a beautiful image

    Hi Rakesh,
Glad to see you posting again.
I have never heard of this bird and I love it. What a great color and love the white spots.
I would definitely crop this differently to get rid of the OOF leaf in the FG. You would also need to crop from RHS as well. By doing this you could have the diagonal branch coming out of left hand corner.
This is really nice shot and the water droplets add a lot . I wish for slightly better HA but that is a minor issue for me,
    Gail

Rakesh, the Strawberry FInch is a beauty, lovely exposure, light and details ...the foreground leaf is not that bothering as the Colour of the bird is owerpowring it..

The bird is so striking and shows so well in the frame, that nothing is pulling my eye from it. That is one gorgeous bird!

    Beautiful bird
Wonderful shot. I really like the perch with the water droplets, nice background and light. It's a tad over sharpened and the foreground leaf does not bother me at all.
    Well done.
