Hi Dan - what a cutie! I like the direct stare and the grass in the mouth. Good dof too. I do wish for a little more room below. Is this ff? Also based on the lean of the grass I think it needs ccw rotation but the lamb's head and body seem to be going in opposite directions.

What ISO was this? Solid processing work Dan and it's not often we see images of "little" horned sheep. You can just see his horns under his fur.
Nicely framed and I'd apply a touch of rotation.
Maybe burn his butt just a touch. Looks a little hot.Erm that sounds so wrong. I shouldn't be commenting on sheep's butts but I am Scottish and we get a little weak at the knees for sheep LOL

Hi Dan, were you able to have move more to the right on this shot? I just feel that there is too much space to the LHS and very little to the right, making the image slightly imbalanced IMHO. I like the environment and the way the head appears to be poking out above the tall grass. I think if the image leant more to a warm temp rather than a cooler the coat comes up a tad more, plus there is some more detail you can extract from the head, giving more definition and illustrates the nice structure that you have captured in the image. Just opening the eyes up a fraction really does make a difference, it's just a wee amount. They have a lovely glossiness to them and if I'm not mistaken, your reflection is in the LHS one as viewed.![]()

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Lovely detail Dan. Agree with the assessments above.
If this is full frame, let's see a 100% crop of the eye to see what's that reflection in it
Also curious about the ISO??
Jamie - ROTFL!Did you mean Scottish or Australian??
(ducks from flying stones from Down Under - tongue firmly in cheek, folks)
Dan,
This is a really sweet lamb (looks like first year). And you have captured him in some very good habitat. I especially like that he is biting down on some greens but has stopped to look at you.
Thanks for the comments.
The ISO was 800, I hardly ever use a lower ISO with the D800.
