    I certainly like the pose, the head turn and the tilt gives the merlin personality. image is sharp and well exposed. perch is not the best. composition wise there is too much empty space on top, I would crop it tighter in a 3:2 vertical while cropping half of the space on top and adding a bit more space below.

    Great pose, and I like the subdued lighting effect you got here. I also like the claw peeking up from the perch. I agree with the comp suggestion and the repost is indeed an improvement, but I could see the subject moved a tad more towards the left. I imagine this was taken from your vehicle?

    Yeah I got 20 or so photos before I another car scared him off. I will try moving him over left more.

    Hi Corey, great eye contact, and you have exposed the Merlin nicely. I like your BG too. In your repost, you have posted 1016 high, max on vertical is 800 high.

    This is a very nice image. I like the lighting, the bird pose and the soft BG. The composition is better at the repost.
