Another shot from this past weekend. Similar processing using Snap Art - Oil with long brush strokes and heavy paint. I wanted to preserve the early fall morning sunlight and opened up the shadow just a bit. Comments welcome..........

Nice one, Jay. I like the colors and the oil paint effect. The curves -- both from the basket top and gourds are great. Good light/dark contrast, too.

Jay, I like this one a lot, especially the colors and lighting.

Jay, this is a different approach for you (I'm not familiar with Snap Art...I'll have to look into it)...and I've come back to the image a few times, mulling it over. Lighting and the "painting" of light is such a strength of yours, and this image is no exception...and the warm color tones immediately give a sense of the hour and the time of year. There are elements of the composition I love...the curve of the line of the basket, the complexity of pattern created by the gourds and pumpkins...to my eye it may be a little TOO tight (personal taste), and that's unusual for me to say! I like the processing and the painterly effect, but I would have liked to have seen a hint more detail...again a matter of personal taste. Truly enjoyed the shoot!
