Beautiful head portrait, Bill! Love that coil to the neck. Excellent sharpness, detail, and background. I find the slanting line in the background that touches the beak to be somewhat distracting. But really lovely overall.

Hi Bill, a good angled pose, with excellent all round detail. I especially like the eye, and the YCNH stands out nicely from the lighter BG.

The portrait holds my eye very keenly. I love the direct contact with the bird's eye, the plumage detail is excellent. There is good contrast between the subject and background. I see the minor distraction Melissa refers to but I must admit that it is only since she mentioned it.

Very pleasing portrait, Bill. The head is so large in the frame and sharp that I don't find the BG distracting. Loving the ruffled look.
