    Default Dahlia

From my recent trip to Oregon. I added Fractalius and some color toning to this Dahlia. I loved the natural flow of the petals.

I have a few images of Dahlia's, and always enjoyed the flow of the petals...........never knew what to do with them in terms of processing, though. Great idea using Frac, it works so well with this kind of image. Beautiful!

Denise, I think fractalius works great on this! I especially like the color toning and the flow - it has such a "rich" look to it.

There is such a wonderful sense of energy in this photograph... the Fractalius effect produces a sort of crackling electricity. My eye is drawn to the the golden yellow center of the flower as well as to the shapes and forms of the darker areas of the petals just to the right. Beautifully done. Richard

This is gorgeous, Denise. I like the composition, the lines, and the color. I don't know how you knew that this was such a great candidate for Fractalius, but you were sure right. Very nice.

Thanks Denise... you always made me feel welcome. I just checked in to see what this forum group has been up to as I realized it has been a year or so since my last visit. As always, there is very beautiful, inspiring and creative work here as in the other forums. I haven't been doing much photography as the past year has brought many life challenges along with it. Some photographers strive while under stress. Unfortunately, I usually withdraw. In any case, possibly I'll return full time as a member in 2013. I miss all the support and online friendship here... I grew as a photographer and person and I feel my craft improved due to my past participation at BPN. You guys and gals are the best. Richard

Hi Denise, certainly one of my faves of all your fracts...something about Glow 100 and flowers makes them come to life. Love the colors and the placement of the blossom's center.

Richard....hope to see some more of your images soon..glad to see you pop back into OOTB.
