Found this gem while deleting old photos. Don't you just love it when that happens? Kelbin was not bumped for this capture. It was a natural sunset at a local pond. I love the ripples surrounding the Sandhill Crane. Removed one piece of dirt from the water.

Marina, I love it! The colors and the black silhouette look great together. The crossed legs add interest.

    Marina:

The ripples are very nice, like the pose, crossed legs. My favorite part is the transition from light to darker water color.

I am glad "Kelbin" wasn't bumped in the creation of this image. He gets rather cranky when you do that.

    Cheers

What a stunner, Marina. In the midst of a chaotic day, to view this moment of serenity is really gratifying. I love the composition, the color gradations, the elegance of the pose. Just gorgeous.

The water color is spectacular! The pose of the bird is just great with the crossed legs. The ripples are quite artistic.

The image has a zen like quality. It's a nice image to just meditate on and think about what
the moment of capture was like. The ripple movements themselves remind me of how the sound
of a bell can function in a meditation. Obtaining a sandhill crane image like this in Minnesota would
be equivalent to a small miracle. Love everything about the photograph.

Such a stunning photo. Those ripples are so serene. I love the use of silhouette here as well. It's so great you didn't delete it! What a gem!

Hmmm...I wonder if I have any great shots like this lying forgotten in my files! You make me what to pull out the external hard drive and look for hidden gems like this one.
Love the colors and the crossed legs. I find myself wishing the entire ripple was included on the left as it is almost complete but that would throw the vertical feel off and make it too square so I would be more aggressive and crop from the left a bit for a more decisive cut in the ripple. Am I making sense?!

Sweet pose and colors. I'd go a bit lighter all around. Who is Kelbin???

A crop from our left would tighten it up and get it close to 3X2.

I think it's a typo and that she must mean Kelvin, Artie...
