    Default Eurasian Tree sparrow

Soon comes the winter and sparrows come back close to the House. This image is from the beginning of the year.

Hi Frank, excellent sharp detail on the sparrow, and the colours are spot on. Perfect comp with the lookback pose, and I do like the complimentary BG too. In a perfect world, the piece of OOF FG would have dissapeared.

The IQ is stunning as is the light and BG. Agree with Stuart about the OOF portion of branch. I would consider cloning out the OOF bit under the tail as that really detracts the eye,

I really like the warm tones and color scheme of the image.
The ambiguous perch surface is interesting...at first I thought
it was a rock, but now I see it's wood. The bird shows very
well in the frame, particularly enjoy the foot detail.
Would not mind a slight head turn towards the camera here....
but the look back into the negative space is nice regardless.

    Frank:

The sparrow is lovely, with excellent sharpening, exposure, eye. BG colors sweet.

The OOF foreground is the only issue for me. I would lower the luminosity of that area to match the perch luminosity in RLC, it will help it recede a bit in the image, less noticeable.
    Cheers

I agree with all the above. I would also have preferred a head angle slightly more towards the viewer.

Love capture of this handsome bird. Pose, toes and colors are nice, as are details and exposure. Blob under bird slightly problematic but not a deal breaker.
