I like this very much - the composition is just right with the squirrel sniffing the new shoot. Also very good of your model to wrap her tail around for you too. It is nicely processed and not over sharpened. My only minor disagreement would be with the tree being a little bright, but not by much.
Thanks for sharing,
Gerald
Love the pose of the squirrel and the tones of the image are very complimentary. Nice clean image. Gerald has pretty well covered it.
Dumay - I agree with both Gerald and Hilary. Excellent and engaging image. Comp and IQ are top notch.

Super IQ as usual Dumay and a nicely composed shot. I like that the trunk is slightly angled. With the wrapped tail and splayed claws it seems as though he's really hanging on as he checks out the twig.
Great image, and totally unexpected from someone who sees the wildlife you do.
Really nice comp and IQ. A nice look at the small things in life.

Thanks guys. This is one of my favorite images ever taken and a nice change from the predators and Big 5 I usually post.
This one brought a big smile to my face! I love the comp and the IQ and the tail curved over the nub of branch.
10 out of 10 on the cuteness factor!

Hi Mate, excellent comp, and just love how the squirrel is leaning towards the shrub. Lovely soft light, and you have captured the finer detail on the squirrel very well. This is different and I like it lots.
Dumay, again a fine image of you.
Like the squirrel hanging downwards the tree, the branch adds something to the image.
Your usual IQ as expected, love the fine detail in the fur.
I would add a bit more mid tone contrast and if you have a bit more of the tree on RHS, think it is a bit tight there.
Well done and nicely seen.
Cheers Andreas
Hi Dumay, there is nothing, NOT to like in this image, well composed, love the angle of the tree and pose/HA of the squirrel is perfect IMHO. Certainly having the only stem in view offering a very 'minimal approach' may not be everyones 'cup of tea', but I think the simplicity in this works. My only thought which I think Andreas was eluding to, was I do feel it looks a little flat in colour, almost monochrome, I think you could ramp things up a bit. Are you still having issues with your monitor?

Thanks guys. I am not certain if I am having issues with my monitor or if I am just out of practice with PP. I am recently starting to get comments on color and I have never really had those issues except when I was using my Mac Book so it is making me wonder if my monitor now after almost two years is starting to show its age but to me on the monitor the images (This one incl, this was as shot and as I remember it, this is the colors of our squirrels) look good and all your folks images are looking good too so I am not sure whats up. Thanks for the comments.

Hi Dumay, if the kit is all new, then the screen should not be 'going off' in such a short period. The three screens I have, one of which is the Apple Cinema 24 which I have had for over 5 years and it's OK, but a slight magenta fringing on the surround which goes in a matter of minutes. Not sure how you can calibrate the iMacs thought?
