Nice frame Satish. I love the catchlight in the eye, the side light & the perch. the varying bg is a bit of a concern but I know how difficult are these guys to shoot.

What a beautiful bird...quite striking! Nice alert pose and raised crest, good vertical comp. I'm thinking some fill-flash would have done well for the shaded perch and the blacks on the bird's belly which are blocked.

Hi Satish, yellow and blacks always compliment each other so well, so this fellow has it all. Your vertical comp works well, and I see you had already allowed a + EC, so maybe its the angle of the light that didnt reach the lower part of the body to bring out more detail on the blacks there.

Very nice shot. Great pose, especially the raised crest. Great perch and details.
    Well done.

Aside from toning down the brightest yellows on the upper left side of the neck I love this as presented. I even like the BKGR as it sort of mirrors the perch and even the bird's crest.

Nice shot,Satish.Looks like the light was harsh and you did the best in such situation.Excellent suggestions above by senior members.Wished more details were visible in the blacks of the bird.TFS

Thank you all for your kind comments.

Arthur Sir,Daniel Sir and Stuart Sir,
I have selectively increased the exposure on perch and decreased on right side;next to leg.
Selectively toned down bright yellow on neck. Now nothing can be done about blacks on belly.
Like to know your valuable opinion.

Satish - repost is better, I think. Striking bird - almost comical w/ that crest, and he looks as if he's about to say something. I too don't mind the bg at all, and Artie's point about it echoing the bird's crest is well made. Overall a wonderful shot. (gt)

    Beautiful bird, love that crest!
I like Dan's suggestion of considering using fill flash in a scenario like this.
Part of the reason I enjoy reading the posts of others, is because they
enlighten me to aspects of the image I never considered. Artie is right,
the background does mirror the bird's crest and perch! Pretty cool sir.
