Don't know whether he was just preening himself or trying to impress his mate . It was nice to see the starling a bit differently with its hair raised and chest puffed , while the mate did not even care to notice !!!

This was shot at the Pench Tiger Reserve in MP , Central India .

    Rakesh:
I think this one is pretty funny. I could see a title like: "Show Off!" . The bird on left does not seem too impressed!

THe pose of the right bird is great, like the colors, exposure. I might consider a modest crop from top, about 40% of the free space above the left bird, and maybe a tiny bit off the right.

    Cheers

    Hi Rakesh,
    This one made me smile!
I love the pose of the right hand bird.
I would take some off the top and right.
    Great light and IQ,
    Gail

What a great capture Rakesh! Good IQ to boot :) I would like to see a tighter crop though.

Great catch, great IQ. I agree with the crop suggestions, both top and right, maybe even a little off the left. It looks like you have plenty of IQ for some crop.

Yep, cropping away about half the top and close to half the right would give you a stronger comp IMO. Love the interaction, sharpness, good exposure. The bird on the left seems to have a bit of a haze on the eye, including the pupil which I would darken.

Wonderful shot. I love the pose on the right bird, great perch, and wonderful background.
    Well done.

Hi Rakesh, I like the light in this, and just want to add how the bird on the right puts this over the top. His pose is showing off the colours on the beak nicely, and have to agree that taking off the top can only improve the image.
