Hi, Nelson. Looks nice. Even though I do a lot of multi-flash, I always enjoy wing blur on a hummingbird photo. Arash, the color actually looks about right for this species as it is a pretty dark green but I do agree with you that it looks dark.
Nelson, I think the problem is the light background, which makes the hummingbird look darker (think of those optical illusions with the same shade of gray on different backgrounds). Choosing a different viewpoint or underexposing the background slightly and adding some fill-flash would have been good solutions to take what is a good image to a really good image IMO :-)
Nelson, looks like you got some really nice detail. I would like to see the hummingbird a bit lighter. I think Greg's suggestions are dead on and would try that next time :)
Wow, everything is so green!! Love the wingblur combined with the sharp body and face. Yes it does look a little dark and Greg has brought up an interesting pint. The halo could be fixed in post as it does look like a shadow/highlight artefact.
hi richard, i do not use shadows and highlights tool, i dont like it, then i only click on lightroom brush and give it more light and saturation, the halo still there? then i dont know how to remove it lol i dont see it :(
Nelson, the halo is definitely there. Try clicking "auto-mask" when using the LR selective brush and then also using the "Show Overlay" option in LR to see if you've gone outside the lines. If so, alt-click to make a negative brush and brush out where you don't want the effect. The video in this post on my website might be helpful: http://www.deepgreenphotography.com/...-green-hermit/
