    Great action shot, you are quick... You only need to capture the action for this picture to be great.

    Great action capture Jody. The bottom swallow's head looks strange. Is it buried in the wing of the top bird? You balanced the tonalities just right IMO.

    The timing and pose you captured is great, amazing. Looks like the wing of the upper bird is covering part of the lower birds head, that is cool.

    I would lighten the image up the image with the highlight area masked to protect it.

    Cool action photo Jody, a pity it is so heavily cropped.

    sweet!.. these guys were all over a bug hatch right in front of me yesterday.. but there was NO way I could get my big 500 on them and keep it on them.. they were just too fast.. I came back later with my 50-500 sigma.. (I really need a 200 or 300 prime I think).. but they were gone.. *sigh*.. anyway.. even if I HAD got there at the right time with the right lens.. I still didnt see ANYTHING like this.. awesome...

    Jody;

    I've been following your stellar work for some years on other forums. Difficult subject, peak action, exposure and composition spot on. Keeps me coming back to.

    cheers
