While waiting for the Belted Kingfisher to land, this little guy popped up for a photo session.
I think it is a juvi as I don't see the tree spots on the front.
I checked for magenta; no magenta was found.
    Thanks for looking.

This is a very enjoyable image Karl. The soft light, curving perch, eye level perspective,
habitat included, complimentary background color....lots to like.
A few minor post processing issues around the tip of the bill and tip of the tail....looks
like left over from some selective layer work....looks like an adult bird with worn
    plumage to me.

Thank you Shawn. You have excellent eye sight.
    I corrected the problem.

Lovely portrait Karl. Nice and sharp. Great light. Looks a bit dishevelled but I think this is caused by moisture, total natural, and therefore I like it! it took me a while to see the anomalies mentioned by Shawn. Nice repost. Image is a little unbalanced with everything happening in the BG LL.

    Karl:

The bird, perch, colors, techs, in the repost, all nice

I appreciate John' comp observation. I tried a tiny sliver off the top, which I liked, might be worth a look.

    Cheers

Very good looking sparrow Karl. I like the vegetation around the bird and nice pose. Light is also good. I would try to sharpen a bit but it could be just my eyes!

Well-handled, a pleasure to look at, but I'm wondering why the composition is weighted toward the bottom.

Hi Karl, lots of detail to look at on this fellow, and I like the browns and beige colours on him too. Curved perches always add something extra, and glad you left the spider webs. Interesting how quite a few spider webs are seen on various images.
