This is another Avocet from the same morning as the last one I posted. I wish that the stick underneath the bird was not there, but I like the colors.

The colours are very nice, and I like the mid-stride pose!! I also wish that stick wasn't there, but it is easy to get rid of if that is within your personal ethics :-)
Hi Trey Fully agree with Daniel Would also suggest turning ccw just a tad Love the feel of this image !!!!
An awesome looking bird in an awesome looking BG. The two suggestions mentioned would put this over the top. Compositionally, I like the placement and room around the bird. Nice work.
Can't really add much to the comments but the image (for me) is striking.
Hi Trey,
Agree with above recommendations.........and agree with this is very nice,
Roman
PS The branch would be gone if it were mine........for a print............otherwise????
Thanks guys. I have tried to remove the branch and can not get it right. I will spend some more time with it and get it out eventually. Still learning PS skills but, have learned a lot about it and photography in general since I signed up in Jan.
"Another Avocet" sounds like this is just another avocet image, which it isn't ;) Very nice composition, lighting, and colors. Removing the stick, and doing a little rotation are good suggestions. There's a certain Quick Mask guru around here that might be able to help you with removing that stick ;) If I was any good at it I'd try to help :)
Great shot. I agree with the above comments. The BG is very nice.
Trey awesome shot, good exposure , lighting and BG. The stick is a slow process. When you use the clone stamp, make sure you allign it vertically, with a small head. After you do the cloning go to the healing tool and use it around the area to blend it in.
Such a beautiful shot. See if this works for you, realizing you can always tell the stick was there but others probably won't notice a difference....hope you don't mind the tinkering. What that stick actually did for this photo was break up that color shift from right to left so it wasn't as noticeable as it is in the repost. I don't mind the shot with or without. Some natural elements to a photo are okay with me but others like perfectly clean.

Trey, very nive image and composition, love the soft background colors and the placement of Mr. Bird in the frame agree with the final recommendations of the rest of the crew...
Congrats...:D
Thanks again guys for the comments and Paul thanks for the repost. It looks ten times better than anything I have done so far. I do still see some hints of change, but if I did not know the stick was there in the first place I may not. I will keep working on it.
Gorgeous bird and BG. Paul has made the fix, I can only admire the rest :)
Thanks Trey. You may find a clone brush a lot easier to use if you increase the photo size by about 500-600% on your screen. Then you can use a relatively small clone brush (for the overall image) but a large enough one to see the effects while you clone. Truly a beautiful shot.
