This flower was suddenly hit by a shaft of light in the deep shade of the Boardwalk at Noxubee Refuge as I was walking by and looked so pretty! I darkened the background more although it was very dark already. I used Simplify filter on it and then Detail.

Nice dramatic effect with the natural lighting. I need to upgrade my Simplify.

It's amazing what light can do, isn't it! Glad you had your eyes open to catch this.

This is quite striking because of the colors, the light, the dark background, and the strong primary diagonal.

Wonderful bold colors. the processing is very subtle and nice. Like Dennis said the diagonal composition is very strong. A very pleasing image.

Thanks Denise, Hazel, Dennis and Dave! I wanted to keep the processing simple although I might try Fractalius on it.

Hi Judy.....nice capture of light. Its amazing what photographers see that others just pass by. ....I would encourage you to try Fractilius!

Judy, I think this would look great with Fractalius!
