I sincerely believe this guy was otherworldly and I am not prone to that kind of thinking.
A very remarkable and unforgettable Raven.
    Just talking to me.
I don't know if I have ever taken a bird photo at f11?

Hi Dan, Ive enjoyed this series, and once again the light has brought out colours nicely. Good DOF, sharp, and I like the overall comp - just enough Raven in the frame.

Excellent shot Dan. To me personally this is the best from the bunch. Love the wide open beak, exposed very well, excellent feather detail, and well composed.
    Very well done.

Another killer frame of this raven, Dan. Some of the best raven images I've ever seen. Have you ever read Mind of the Raven: Investigations and Adventures with Wolf-Birds? By Bernd Heinrich. I highly recommend it if you have any interest in how intelligent these birds are.

The facial expression captured here is awesome.
I prefer the previous raven image to this one, simply because
I think the background control was so much better. The splash
of green in the left hand side of this frame is particularly abrupt and
eye catching....I have encountered extremely tame ravens at Yellowstone,
Grand Canyon, and The Petrified National Forest. In each case, the ravens
were very adept at making me want to give them food, and yes, I talked to
them and thanked them for their company :)
