    Hello every one!
I want to share with you this image that I recently made at a new location where I am currently taking my groups. We used bananas to attract this and several other species including some very colorful tanagers. Birds here had been fed for over 15 years and are used to people and BB's so that was a thrill to be able to shoot them without the need of a blind!

mildly cropped for compo. This is such a small bird (4'') that even being very close to it I had to crop. I was expecting a bigger bird but when I saw this guy through the viewfinder I couldn't resist to make an image of him!

Your comments and input is always very welcome and appreciated! :)

Great perch, pose and nice background. It is a winning combination.

Hi Juan Carlos - beautiful shot. I really like the color palette. Were this mine, I would be happy as a lark. Can't make up my mind about the leaves at the bottom. The shot might be cleaner w/out, but they also add a pleasing touch of disorder.

I think this is stunning, Juan Carlos. Such a great pose, BG, and details. The colors are wonderful. The only suggestions I would make would be to tone down the leaf(?) under the right foot, which is a little distracting and maybe diminish the size of the reflection in the eye a bit.

Hi Juan, love the inquisitive pose, and interesting colours on this species. The vertical comp works well with the diagonal perch.

Very nice! The saturation is a bit too much for my taste, but I guess I can imagine how vibrant he must of looked in real life! Looks like a heavy crop, but you still managed to finesse out the details.

Great job capturing this tiny and flighty - and very beautiful - bird. I guess the bananas helped. I love the comp, pose and perch, and don't mind the leaf although it would be just as nice without it. Maybe a tad oversaturated.

Beautiful photo Juan. Great detail on the bird. I just wish the upper wing wasn't so soft. Composition is perfect.
