    Default Cactus Wren

    Hello Everyone,
This looks like a wonderful forum you have here. I enjoy viewing the beautiful images, and the members intelligent comments. I'm kinda new to bird photography, and I must admit, I'm addicted. This is my first post here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for looking...tom

hi thomas and welcome to BPN!!! awesome first post. would love to see a little better head angle where the bird is looking more towards you. maybe a little more space to the right also to give the bird some room to look into. can wait to see more from you!!!

Welcome to BPN...arguably the best move you could have made to improve your bird photography!!

Image-wise the biggest drawback here is the head angle. More towards the camera and you can just imagine how that beautiful eye would be lit and alive! I would like to see more of that awesome perch too. Can't wait to see some more from you :-)

Hey that is one NEAT little fellow! The plumage colors are super! I wish it turned the head more towards you, but you can work on that too.

Great perch, BG, and sharpness. I agree with the above statements about the crop and the head turn. Congrats on a nice first photographic post!

Thomas, A big welcome to BPN...:D
Super first image, I like it... The colors are beautifull and the background compliments your subject...:D For the next time, you need to catch Mr. Bird with his head turned more towards the camera, not looking away... and he is a wee bit too centered in the frame, you can correct this by adding more canvas to the right of the frame...:D:D
All in all, I like it...:) BIG CONGRATS and keep them coming...:)

Hi Tom: welcome to BPN, you will love this site, Nice Cactus Wren capture. I especially like the out of focus background.
