A similar photo to the other one I posted, using Arthur Morris's and others suggestions for this one.
A very large crop at iso2000, maybe only 20% of the image. I removed all the branch off shoots and
    smoothed out the BG.

ISO 2000 and only 20% of the image! Wow, that is some very nice detail you got there! I'll have to look back to see the other image that you posted, but the suggestions look like they were good ones as this one turned out great.

cool pose and nice details. some whites were blown on the forehead and chick area and you may want to define the catchlight a bit better

Striking image, Dan. I'm heading North very soon, hope to find them there.

Very nice shot. Wonderful background, great pose, and for it being such a large crop there is a lot of detail.
    Very well done.

Cool pose and nice BG, I also like the eye contact and wish the perch was a bit darker.

Very pretty image with the curved perch, the pose, and that gorgeous background. Can some of the detail on the forehead be recovered or is it, as Arash commented, blown? Regardless, lovely image. (gt)

That's an amazing photo! The detail is amazing for being only 20% of the frame (although I guess that's the benefit of the D800). I really like the composition...the parallel arrangement of the branch and the birds tail is great. The background boke is just stunning. Fantastic work!
