    ...in a single flower. I used the mini-world technique but let the globe be very indistinct. I liked the graphic element of the vertical line extending from the flower stem, providing balance to the flower plus an anchor point for the flower.

    Hi, Nancy, I think it's a great idea - I like the vertical line and the single flower, and the bud underneath. I tried a version using Distort>Spherize and then painted back in the flower and bud. I don't like it any better than yours but thought it was a different take on your concept.

    I like the vertical line, too, and the nontraditional approach to the mini world concept. The inverted S-curve coming through the center is a very effective element. A very nice and creative approach.

    Both techniques are great.....a unique diversion from the miniworld usually imagined. The title ties it all together.

    Nancy, I love the colors and the final effect! Nice job! If anything I might like the flower just a little lower in the frame. Cheryl's repost looks great. I will have to give this look a try
