    Default Strike a pose hoatzins

Following on from yesterday's individual here is a group hanging out on vegetation overhanging a side-channel off the oxbow lake.

In an ideal world I would have liked the background to be a little more even...

Again, on a tripod from a canoe.

Sweet shot!!! Excellent job on getting them all looking the same way. Great perch, excellent details, and very well composed.
    Very well done.

    WOW Ben,
4 terrific HA's and different wing spreads.
    Good diagonal perch and IQ.
    Well done,

A fantastic image Ben. A little saturated for me.

I like this even better than the individual shot and I don't mind the back ground at all. I think it sets them off nicely. The light on their backs seems a little harsh blanching their color a bit. What a shot though from a canoe!

I agree with all the comments. Great shot, great angle, HA's and a very nice environment.

it's awesome that you got 4 perfect head angles. you got SO lucky! agree it's a bit over saturated and there is some color noise on the dark feathers.

    Excellent shot! TFS

Thank you all for you comments and critique.

I will be back in Ecuador in a months time, but no hoatzin hunting this time around, with photographic chances mainly being on the Eastern slope of the Andes.

Fantastic image! Perfectly parallel to get them all within dof field too. I love the fuzzy perch that goes so well with the subjects's crowns!! I'm OK with the BG, it's just that some areas are overly bright "lime"...should be easy to tame. A fun image for sure
