Anyone whose ever read Edgar Rice Burroughs novels will know where the title comes from. It is the tale of a world within the earths core.

I created this image using an old image of the Cavandish Stones in Scotland, I used CS5 for polar coordinates of the original, flipped and the outer core was created. Rotated the original 180 degrees and used polar coordinates to create the inside, pasted and used transform tool to size to center.

    Hope this makes sense

Masked and copied mini world onto background.... Hope this makes sense

    Thanks for looking

Paul, It looks like a slice of a rock or a tree. Very cool look!

I love it, one of the best mini-worlds I've seen!

I think I understood most of your processing . I really like the effect of lines radiating from the center through all the design elements. The rock rings are a great compositional & earthy element between the smooth circles.

Hi Paul, I love this one...the stones have created a really cool looking border to the mini-world.
